Mac Miniと一緒に注文したApple Thunderbolt Displayが発送予定日より一週間も早く届いた。なんとかセットアップを済ませ、ようやく新しいソフトウェアの勉強をし始まろうとしている…のはず(後述)
I ordered Apple Thunderbolt Display with my Mac Mini, and it arrived a week ahead from the original schedule. Finally I could start to learn how to use new softwares, however…

箱がオルタさんよりも高いけど、実物はだいたいこの感じ。
The box is even taller than DD Alter, but after unboxing its not that huge.

今まで使ってるApple Cinema Display HD 23と並んでみた。Thunderbolt Displayが27インチだけど、見た目のサイズはそれほど差がない。解像度が一気アップし作業スペースが広く、A3用紙が100%で表示できることも大きい。
Thunderbolt Display is 27 inch, but physical size seem not too much difference from my Apple Cinema Display HD 23. However, increased screen resolution have made room for a larger working space, and even accommodate a A3 paper in actual size.

モニタの下がキーボードを置くスペースがあって、ちょっと嬉しいかも。グレア(光沢)パネルのせいて映り込みがちょっと気になる… ノングレアのほうが好みだけど、色やコントラストの影響があるといわれて、最近はあまり採用しないらしい…カラー補正を済ませ、やっばりパネルの下部分の色が不自然に見える。気のせいかと思って、白と灰色の壁紙を使ってみると、下の1/3が黄色っぽく見える。

Theres some space underneath the monitor for keyboard placement ^^. However surface is glossy finished hence there are some reflection… though I prefer a matt surface but seems there are some influence on color and contrast.
I did some calibration, and discovered some uneven colors at the bottom of the panel. I checked with a gray and white wallpaper and discovered 1/3 of the panel have little yellow tint…

ショックだ。頑張って買ったのにこれか(涙)…
アップルへ電話し、モニタは来週で回収し、無償で新品交換対応してくれる。ただし新品の到着は三週間後orz…
Cinema Display 23に戻る。8年間もよく頑張ってくれて、もう少しだけ頑張れ(ﾉ△･｡)

shocked…have been working hard to buy this..
I called Apple and they offered a replacement to me in 3 weeks orz…
Have to back to my Cinema Display 23 which is 8 years old. Hopefully it could still work for a little while.
